The 2012 Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) Conference, “Let’s Create Opportunities for USA,” will feature CDFIs from across the nation that are working together to invest in underserved communities and expand the industry’s reach. The conference session topics include expanding CDFI coverage; healthy food financing; energy efficiency finance; enhancing financial resources; Native CDFIs; CDFI regulation; and small business finance.

The session “The Evolution of Community Development-Next Generation Thinking” will feature contributing editors of Investing in What Works for America’s Communities Ian Galloway and Ellen Seidman, along with Robin Hacke of Living Cities. In the session, they will discuss strategies for rethinking traditional approaches to community development and maximizing the industry’s effectiveness.

Investing in What Works for America’s Communities author Mark Pinsky, CEO of OFN, will discuss the state of the CDFI industry on Tuesday, October 16.
